About the Author

I’m Kate.

I am a patient-researcher studying neurotransmitter sensitivity, cognition, and metabolic health. I study neuroscience at Peterson Academy and write the More Than a Coloring Book series — reflective journals that blend illustration, story, and science.

My work sits at the intersection of lived experience and research. I’ve spent years documenting how sleep, metabolism, and brain chemistry shape mood, memory, and resilience. I am especially interested in the quiet patterns that medicine often overlooks.

Before writing, I worked as a flight attendant, patient care coordinator, real estate broker, in retail, and customer service. Those years taught me something simple: many people are carrying invisible neurological and emotional burdens. I wanted to create tools that help people understand what they are carrying — and learn how to manage it.

I created Odyssey80 Press to share books, field notes, and ongoing research. The goal is straightforward: respectful inquiry, careful observation, and practical education.

If you are trying to organize a complicated medical history, navigating medication reactions, or trying to understand your own mind more clearly, you’re in the right place.  No hype. No grand promises. Just maps and lanterns.

“We are all traveling — not just through time, but through meaning.”
